New Projects!

So... I'm starting two big projects at the same time; two projects which will be a great deal more fulfilling than any modeling or acting job.

I have an Interior Design job. 1 whole floor of an office building. I met with the client today, and picked up the floor plans for it. The coolest thing about it, is I get almost complete creative freedom. Usually clients have so many preferences, that your design is left with almost no room for creativity. Not so with this client. He's very laid back, and trusts my artistic judgment. And that's great.

The next new project is a Film Noir peice which will be made to look like it's straight out of the 1940's. (though if it were up to me, I'd make it even earlier, say 1920) I'll be using some new plug ins for Final Cut Pro to make it look especially old with scratches, and wear and tear in the frames. I'll have a production crew behind me, which will make everything much easier. (since I normally do everything myself) The project is due in October, so that allows lots of time for post-production which is most definitely one of the most important elements in the film making process.

Now the tricky part is not to get my mind too mixed up between the two projects. When I start something I usually become nearly obsessed with my vision. It takes up so much of my head space that I don't want to do anything but that project.

So, I have homework to do now. The office needs to be completed in one month. I have to start scribbling concept sketches, reviewing materials, and the basic flow of the office, then I have to present my vision to the client, and then start talking about the budget.

Okay great. And starting in 5, 4, 3, 2....1! Work time!
